Julep maven

A couple weeks ago, I was doing my blog readings and someone posted about subscription website... all of those boxes that you receive once a month (like Birchbox, for example). I apologize that I don't remember what blog it was on, but I know I commented.. so if it was you, please let me know! I'd love to give you credit for you post. :)

Well, on their list of subscriptions that they talked about.. there was one for Julep nail polish posted with a coupon code to sign up for the box for only a penny! I couldn't resist. I'm not sure if I'll keep the subscription (because I don't know if I can necessarily afford it at $20ish/month) but I do love what I received!

 From Left-to-Right:
  • Pedi Creme sample
  • Alfre Nail Polish
  • Pink loose glitter pot
  • Natasha Nail Polish (intro add-on for $4.99)
  • Jodie Nail Polish
  • Purple loose glitter pot
  • Cuticle Oil roll-on
So, when you sign up... you start by taking a style quiz. According to them, I am Classic with a Twist which is portrayed by the Alfre and Jodie colors. I also selected a discounted Add-on polish, which I chose Natasha.

I have used both Alfre and Natasha in just the two days that I've received my order. I'm really loving Alfre. I had never used Julep polishes before. I know I had seen them, but I assumed they were one of the polishes with the pointed brush for painting designs on your nail. They actually are not, they do have a full size brush. (When I was looking on their website earlier, they posted that they changed their brush to a flat, square edge). The polish itself is highly pigmented and thin... which I prefer in a nail polish. This makes it easy to spread and because you can cover your nail in one coat, I feel like it lasts longer.

If you are interested in signing up for the program yourself, feel free to click the link above to be directed to the website. I do receive "referral points" which I can eventually use toward product... besides that, I am not being reimbursed by Julep for this post and all of the above opinions are entirely mine.
