Ugh, Disaster...

As you know, I work 3rd shift and sleep days.  So, a couple days ago, I'm sleeping and when I wake up, I have a text message from my roommate.  It says "We need to talk :'''''(".  So, I finally get ahold of her, and it turns out, she's moving out....before the end of the month.  In  case you haven't seen a calendar lately, the end of the month is in about a week.  This means, our lease is broken.  So, the past couple days, I've been frantically trying to figure out what I AM GOING TO DO.  I think, I'm going to go ahead and break my half of the lease, because I can't afford to hang around this city by myself.  Which means, I'm going to be moving back to the tiny little town I came from.  It's kind of depressing, but I'm optimistic.  She's moving in with her boyfriend and for screwing me over, they're offering to let me stay in their extra bedroom rent & utilities free.  So, this will give me an opportunity to get my bills caught up and save some money so I can hopefully get a place of my own, or better yet, with my boyfriend.  I think the hardest part is knowing I will have to quit my job.  I actually have lucked out enough in this economy to have a full time job and getting paid pretty decently too.  Oh well, I suppose.  We'll see how this all goes.  Keep your fingers crossed for me.

There's Nothing to Look Forward to After Turning 21

Well.... It was quite the wonderful weekend.  :)

On Thursday, I didn't make it to my Humane Society Orientation, unfortunately.  I felt absolutely horrible.  I got caught up in traffic.  And there's one thing I hate, and that is to be late.  I would have been over 10 minutes late, actually.  So, I turned around and went home.  Then I finished getting around... went to Fallen Timbers Shopping Center, which is beautiful outdoor mall.  And then later on that evening, my roommate took me to Chili's.  After 2 margaritas, I was feeling pretty good.  And I am quite surprised by this.  I used to be able to drink a lot.  At least I am a cheap date!  Anyways, I actually ordered Shrimp.  I ate 3 pieces.

Friday night was the night of my birthday party. For once, I was more concerned with the quality of my company as opposed to the quantity.  The guest list consisted of Alex, my boyfriend; Jamie and Marcus, two of Alex's closest friends who are dating each other; Megan, my roommate; Tony, Megan's boyfriend; Kyle, one of Megan's best friends; Katelyn, one of my best friends from high school; and Sam, Katelyn's boyfriend.

I was pretty tipsy by the end of the night.  But overall, it was a pretty good time.  My refrigerator looks exactly as it should.  A case of Busch Light, a case of Mountain Dew, liquor, cake, and condiments.  The bulk of the people there, really only spent the evening playing a game of Kings.  It would have been fun if the rest of the group was interested in playing, like my boyfriend for example (apparently Kings makes him mad?).  We couldn't agree on the rules, since each of us had played with different rules... but for the one card, we made that one start a mini game of "Never Have I Ever".  It was fun, since there were 3 girls and only 1 guy actually playing, for us girls to team up on the guy.  We would say things like, "Never have I ever been born with a penis."  It was all in good fun.

Everyone left a little earlier than I expected, but that was okay.  After they left, and Alex and I went to bed, we had a really good conversation.  Alex and I started seeing each other at the beginning of January, right before I moved to Toledo.  So I obviously knew him from home.  One of my closest friends actually introduced us.  She knew him because they went to college together and discovered they their hometowns were so close together.  Anyways, we try to see each other as much as possible, but we live about an hour away from each other.  When we started to hang out, neither of us really expected much, but as things progressed, we really ended up liking each other.  As of May 7th, I officially had a boyfriend.  And as of April 16th, we realized we loved each other.  It really makes me happy to know that we're on the same page.  And I am very luck to have him in my life.

So the rest of the weekend, was pretty much spent laying low and spending time with Alex since it will be another two weeks until we see each other again.  Saturday, we played the new Super Mario Brothers game for Wii and then saw Kick Ass... and after wards, we ate Macaroni & Cheese.  And then yesterday, we walked around the Toledo Botanical Gardens and then laid around my apartment until it was time for him to go home.  And now I am sitting at work, missing him, and missing my wonderful weekend.  Coming back to reality, really kind-of sucks....

Dear Diary: Happy Birthday to Me.

So, since no one reads this... as of right now, I guess its more like a diary than anything.  I could potentially share my deepest darkest secrets.

Its my birthday.  It's official.  I've been on this  plant for 22 years.  I suppose it will be a good day.  When I get off work at 7am, I plan on going home and cleaning up and getting around for my orientation with Habitat for Humanity.  I guess that's a good way to start out my 22nd year.  Then I think afterwards, my best friend/roommate and I are going to the botanical gardens.  We went a couple weeks ago, but it was still fairly early in the season and nothing was in bloom, so we're hoping it will be a little more interesting this time.  I really love gardening and so I enjoy being around the plants in the botanical gardens.  Its so peaceful there.  And then at some point, I intend on going to the store to get stuff for my birthday party on Friday night ... and then dinner at Chili's.  Is it sad I only chose Chili's due to the fact that Top Shelf Margarita's are only $4 on Thursdays?  Maybe I'll finally give in and have something with fish.  I've been vegetarian for the past 2 years and have really been considering introducing fish back into my diet, I've just been scared. Of what, I don't know.  But maybe tomorrow will be a good day to start that as well. :)  <3

...And I like long walks on the beach.

So, I guess I should start this blog out with a little introduction...

I am turning 22 this week.  For some reason, the entire 363 days I spent being 21, I felt the need to point out, I will be 22.  Kind of like, I wasn't going to make it there.  I live in Ohio, and that's all I have to say about that.  My father lives in Texas... which seems to be a little more interesting.  In fact, it could be if I was to spend more time down there.  I guess family values aren't really present.  I'm currently going to college as an accounting major.  Nothing too exciting there.  I work in a hotel.. which can be exciting.  I have a hard time understanding why everyone doesn't work at the front desk of a hotel.  Its a perfect job to me.  In fact, I am at work while I type this.

I don't know if I expect anyone to read this... although I do hope that at least one person will.  I'm sure after this first post, no one will want to.  I'll be the first to admit, that it was a little bland.  I'm sure the next time I feel the need to type something, it'll be something amazing and interesting.  <3
