Monday music madness; number four

It's time for another music monday!! Last week, I had a creepy video called "Save the Robots" with zombies. It was about all I had to chose from. But that did mean I get to leave you a really fun song this week! Its one of my favorites right now! I would like to introduce you to Marina and the Diamonds, "I Am Not A Robot!". Best part about this video are the sparkles! (Yes, I'm a little ADD about that... )

Sunday inspirations; number three

I've mentioned before that my boyfriend is a country boy. And all of his friends are country boys. And all of their girlfriends' are country girls. I've been around a lot of country here lately. I wouldn't say I'm super chic but I do try to have a little style, and if you can't tell, I prefer more eclectic, bohemian style. I love weird shapes. Flannel is kind of growing on me though! Therefore, I would like to feature Flannel as my fashion inspiration!

From One Year ago!

Ugh, go figure!

The past couple of days, I've been having trouble with Google Reader, which is what I use to read all of everyone's blog posts. I would get so far, and then it would tell me an error has occurred, and basically logs me out of Google. I have no idea what the issue is. ...But that also means, I can't even read the posts that I have saved in it, so I can't do The Weekender this week. Which has me pretty bummed. 

But next week, I'll do a Double Weekender to cover both weeks. So, we'll call it the Weekend Double Header! Don't forget to keep an eye out next Saturday! 

I do have Sunday Inspirations done for this week and next week! ...I needed something to keep me busy at work! So make sure you come back in the morning for that. I'm pretty excited about this week!!!

Fix {my-photo} friday over at trendy treehouse

One of the things out in bloggy world that I've really been getting into is Fix {My-Photo} Friday over at Trendy Treehouse. I just wanted to post my fix for you all to check out! p.s. if anyone wants to buy me an upgrade to Picnik, I would be one happy blogger!! Hehe.

 

My Fix:

First thing I did was crop the photo. I wanted to get the other people out of the background, and definitely feature the ocean and sky. Asymmetry really does that here. Next thing I did was play with the contrast & exposure a little bit. I also checked the local contrast box to really make the clouds pop. And then I adjusted the saturation to bring out the blue in the water, and then the temperature to make the sun seem bigger and more golden. Finally, I softened the photo and used the Matte effect in Picnik to give the photo that white glow around the edges! (Oh, and I rounded the corners at some point... )

Whoop, whoop!

I just wanted to do a quick thank you to all my followers! As of right now, I am sitting at exactly 300! How exciting is that?
